2014-2015 will be my 29th year in the classroom. I started my career as an 8th grade physical science teacher (10 years) then moved up to the high school to teach chemistry. I have served as department chair for over 12 years and will try my hand at Science Olympiad this year. I started flipping my classes 4 years ago which led me on a journey to becoming a connected, blended-learning educator. I earned a bachelors degree in chemistry with a minor in physics from Miami University and a Masters of Education degree from Kent State University. I am looking forward to continuing the collaboration with motivated chemistry teachers that began in 2012!

  1. Hello! Down in Georgia, I am a part of a group of chemistry teachers with the Noyce program at Kennesaw State. We have a goal of developing a place for chemistry teachers to place and use resources that isn’t a listserv or paid subscription. We fell upon your site, and thought that it seems you guys have a similar goal. Are y’all wanting to keep this site and your community functioning as just you putting up resources for others to use? Or are you interested in opening up a larger national network of resources? We would love to help pull together part of that network if you are interested. Please email me and let me know what you think. Hope to hear from you soon, and hope your school year is going well so far!

    • Rebekah,
Sorry for the late response. At this time we are still a work in progress and unsure what direction we want to go. This started as an idea on twitter and eventually led to this. We too have a similar goal. So thanks again, wish you the best of luck and feel free to continue to point or link others in our direction for now. These materials will always be free and were glad to share.
